Don’t worry pal, we’ve got you. Throughout this blog we will explore the different terminologies and have knowing not only what you want but what’s best for you.

Let’s jump on in! Firstly, you should know that here at the Genna Rose salon we only use the finest quality of products, so much so that we went on a mission to find the best eyelashes out there, this mission took us just over 2 years, but we found them, it only seemed right that we put our name to them. June 2021 was the launch and the start of our Genna Rose product line.

Eyelash extensions are synthetic lashes that are made from quality PBT (plastic). Please note: No mink hair is ever used.

So, what’s the different options?

Classic eyelash extensions – this is where one synthetic eyelash extension is placed on the natural eyelash.

Russian Volume – A few finer synthetic eyelash extensions (finer that the classic lashes used) are handmade and manipulated into a fan during application and placed onto the natural eyelash.

Hybrid eyelash extensions – A hybrid set is a mix of classic and Russian volume eyelash extensions.

Classic eyelash extensions provide a natural, mascara effect look. But one thing to consider is, your lash artist can only work with what natural lashes you have, so if you have a healthy full set of natural lashes, great, your lash artists will be able to achieve a nice natural full set of eyelash extensions. If you have a finer set of natural lashes or have gaps in your natural lashes, you may need to consider hybrid or maybe even Russian volume extension.

Russian volume eyelash extensions can provide a much fuller, more glamourous finish, however due to the technique used, Russian volume can also be used to hide any imperfections in the natural lash line, giving the illusion of fuller lashes and hiding any gaps.

Hybrid extensions will give you a mix of the 2 and can be a perfect solution to wanting the ‘less is more’ by day but also has the ability to give you the ‘more is more’ by night.

What should I start with?

Generally, most clients start off with either Classic or Hybrid eyelash extensions, I think the ‘less is more’ look is a comfort blanket when starting the eyelash addiction. But one thing we see all the time, is client’s starting on Classics and slowly working their way up to Hybrids and before you know it Russian volume. That’s the great thing about eyelash extensions, they can be altered to suit you and your lifestyle, if you’ve got an event coming up and you want a bit more jazz, no worries. Just ask to upgrade you infills, you can always go back to you normal infills after.
